Play Time is the Best Time

A little play time...

A little play time after lunch.

Jump, jump, jumperoo...  Baby A you get to play in the jumperoo because you ate first. You were in the standing play station while B was eating. Mommy and daddy does this so you will not spit up after eating. After a little while we move to to play room so you can crawl or playing with the hanging toys.

Jumperoo Ballet

Shake it, shake it like a Polaroid Picture, shake it, shake it....

Baby A dances a little today....

And now real time...

Play, talk, and music time...

A little play time with some twin talk and music...

The stationary walker (doesn't move on the carpet) and a jumperoo!
And when two babies get together we have laughter, play, chatter, and just a good ol' time. The video starts off slow but they get into it (especially after the 3:13 mark, B gives a little smile to start it off).

And nothing is better until Daddy pulls out the recorder.

Crawling....

A you have almost perfected crawling while B you have the backwards on your back scoot down.

A crawling and B kicking her for doing it.
Baby A is action part 1.

Baby A is action part 2.

Zoo time...

Last night was a hard night for B, so we were running late for church. By the time A, B, Daddy and Mommy were in the car to leave for church, it had started 10 minutes before. So, let's go to the zoo!

Start of Zoo Time!
After that photo Mommy decided sunglasses were necessary.

Glasses on.
Let's just say we tried to keep the glasses on.

A sees a goat.
Goats are cool.
Can you guess who is very very close to cutting her first tooth?
Monkeys tastes better.

B checks out the goats.

Goats are really cool.

But I am cooler.

Year of the Pony girls get to see a horse.

I really don't care about horses much.

Elephant Time!

Alright elephants, but daddy what is this plant down here?

Proof we have gone to a zoo, no need to ever return.
Actually that caption comes from my childhood. Since I was the 6th child my parents had already done it once with the older kids...  ...you get the picture.

B checks out the elephants.

Heading to Monkey land
By now B has crashed.

Something is over there?

Checking out the sloth bear, and the wire, the wood, the guy next to us....
Tigers next...  ...actually no tigers. A crashes and Mommy and Daddy head home.

Food Time is the Best Time

Mommy says that "food time is the best time" and from a bottle is just might be. From the spoon, that's a different story.

The photos are banana, the video is winter squash.

My gawd, what is this stuff?
You really eat this?
No more, no more!
Can you please feed the rest to B?
No, what is this yellow crap?
Banana? Hell no to that.
Now that, that evil banana is behind us. Baby A and Baby B (off screen) try Winter Squash.

Daddy Play Time - Photo Essay

It's Daddy Play Time.  Baby A and her favorite location.

No teeth yet.

She farted on Mommy's command.

What's this? Daddy found his computer.

Play Time with Marvel

Tomorrow you will be 26 weeks old, nearly one half of a year.

Baby A you are so close to hands and knees crawling Daddy has to keep a closer and closer eye on you. Nearly time to baby proof the house. Baby B you are still working on rolling over and tummy time is still not your friend, however, you have learned how to move around on your back.  Both of you have become aware you have a sister or at least there is someone else who daddy plays with.

Playing with the same toy at the same time.
Both of you are getting betting at playing with each other but you have a tendency to kick and scratch each other from time to time.

Today, daddy decided to let your dog guardian visit on his own to see what would happen and he was surprise (at 6:40, 8:40, and 9:40 on the last video), Marvel usually acts afraid of them.

Jumperoo!

Trying it on for fit and comfort.
Daddy and Mommy bought a "Jumperoo" at the local "mom's of multiple" yard sale three months ago and Baby A is finally ready to try it out. Baby B should be ready to try it out next week.

Great way for the dog guardians to get to know babies.

Max going in for a foot lick.

Marvel going in for a smell (he doesn't lick them yet)

Baby A is getting it.

Awareness

Since daddy has taken over work week daytime baby duty, daddy has noticed a vast increase in baby awareness. This includes awareness of bottle/food, daddy, dogs, and especially each other. The dog guardians are also much more aware.

Tummy time is especially fun for each. Baby A is showing more and more arm strength, and B is showing more neck strength and acceptance of tummy time. On August 18th, Baby B you rolled over onto your tummy for the first time, and Baby A you rolled from your tummy to your back.

Hey there
Here Baby B has a good laugh at A's expense... (watch to the end)

Marvel is still taking it in, in some ways he is afraid of the both babies. However, Marvel is warming up, smelling, and today he licked B's foot briefly. Max, however, is another story. Max is a nurse dog and licks your feet whenever he can.

Marvel pays a visit
Who are you again?
